The FIA World Touring Car and Formula Two Championships return
to Kent this July as Brands Hatch plays host to its first
international event of the year.
This double headline meeting combines world class tin top stars and
up-and-coming single seater talent, and a strong contingent of
British drivers will by vying for victory on home soil. Leading the
WTCC podium charge will be Chevrolet's Rob Huff and former triple
World Touring Car champion BMW's Andy Priaulx, and both are in
contention for this year's title. They'll be taking on tough
competition in the form of SEAT's Gabriele Tarquini, Chevrolet's
Yvan Muller and wildcard entry Colin Turkington - who makes his
racing comeback for WSR BMW following his British Touring Car
Championship triumph last year.
Britons Jolyon Palmer, Dean Stoneman and Will Bratt will be flying
the Union Flag in F2, battling against Austrian Philipp Eng and
Russia's Sergey Afanasiev in the title chase for the chance to
secure a prize test drive with the Williams F1 team.
