displayed and paraded during the day. See the 'Entertainment' tab
for more information.
There will also be a superb line-up
of racing on the Snetterton circuit from the Lotus on
Track Elise Trophy, Lotus Cup Europe, GAZ Shocks Production
BMW Championship, Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge
and Monoposto Championship.
This event features a huge entertainment package that will keep
the whole family occupied!
Motor racing
There will be eight races taking place on the Snetterton circuit
between 9am and 5pm on the Sunday, including two major Lotus
championships - the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy and Lotus Cup
Europe
Displays
35 different Lotus F1 cars will be displayed at the
Classic Team Lotus Pavilion - the first time a complete collection
has ever been put together. Owners have already flown their
cars in from all over the world.
The full range of current Lotus Cars models available to the
buying public will also be on display, including the Evora Cup, GT4
2-Eleven, the new Elise, the Exige and the Evora.
Some of Jim Clark's greatest racing cars - including the 1963 World
Championship-winning type 25 and the 1967 Dutch GP-winning type
49 - will be present.
In addition to the vehicles, everyone who ever worked for Team
Lotus (some 350 people) has been invited to attend the
Festival.
Circuit demonstrations
Many of the classic F1 cars, including World
Championship-winning machinery, will be taking part in
demonstrations - some of them high speed - on the Snetterton
circuit between 2.00pm and 3.30pm. Current Lotus F1 drivers
Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen will be amongst those taking to
the track, in-between meeting fans at Snetterton.
First appearance of 2010 season's T127 Lotus F1
car
This year's Lotus F1 challenger will be making its first
UK appearance at the Snetterton Classic Team Lotus Festival and
WILL be running on the race circuit!
Free autograph session and pit walk
You can meet your F1 Lotus heroes and see the magical
machinery up close in a free of charge pit walk currently scheduled
for midday. During this time, the complete collection of Lotus
Grand Prix cars will be rolled out and lined up on the Snetterton
starting grid for a unique aerial photograph - fans will be able to
view this from the pit lane.
Special exhibition marquee
This will be screening film shows of Team Lotus history,
together with a display of scale models, works of art, and Jim
Clark images. A new book on the life of Colin Chapman will be
launched on the Sunday, and there will be a display from the
University College of London Colin Chapman Scholarship.
Drivers' Avenue
Based in the paddock area, the Drivers' Avenue will
feature individual displays on each of the 33 Works Team Lotus
drivers who scored a World Championship point.
Lotus Racing transporter send-off
The Lotus Racing F1 truck will perform a ceremonial
lap of the circuit at the end of the day before heading off to the
European Grand Prix in Spain - the 500th F1 race for the famous
marque.
